The Wild One is a 1953 American crime film directed by László Benedek and produced by Stanley Kramer.The picture is most noted for the character of Johnny Strabler, portrayed by Marlon Brando, whose persona became a cultural icon of the 1950s. The Wild One is considered to be the original outlaw biker film, and the first to examine American outlaw motorcycle gang violence.

There is a 'Merc Corral' full of an abundance of classic Mercuries at the Remembering James Dean Festival, each year. The '49 Mercury that Dean drove in the movie is part of a permanent collection at the National Automobile Museum in Reno, NV.

Enness works with the legendary Hollywood photographer Phil Stern: "One day I was over at his house in Los Angeles and stumbled upon an old pile of photos of this Triumph scrambler."

Racing career background[] In April 1954, after securing the co-starring role of Cal Trask in East of Eden, James Dean purchased a 1955 Triumph Tiger T110 650 cc motorcycle and, later, a used red 1953 MG TD sports car. [1] In March 1955, Dean traded the MG for a new 1955 Porsche Speedster purchased from Competition Motors in Hollywood, California.
